Our phone was ringing off the hook last night. Delray Beach power brokers and city officials were burning up our phone last night.
They would not go on record but did say Mayor Petrolia is stepping down.
Petrolia’s rumored resignation is due to the unfolding porn blackmail scandal involving her husband.
Delray Beach Confidential sent a FOIL request to the Delray Beach Police when we broke the story in May. We requested the police report and the body cam footage of the responding officer who took the call.
We received the written report a few days ago that you can read below. However, we are still waiting for the body cam footage. The Delray Beach Police have until July 27, 2022 to give us the footage.

The police report shows that Tony Petrolia received a spam email that demanded $1295.00 in Bitcoin or the sender would release Petrolia’s porn history to his email contacts.
These emails usually show in your spam folder and are sent out by Eastern European scam artists.
We get them on nearly a daily basis and we just ignore them and trash them. As would most normal people would do.
Apparently, Tony Petrolia had just finished jerkin his gherkin while looking at internet porn and freaked out. Why freaked out is anyone’s guess. He then called the Delray Beach Police who told him it was nothing worry about. However, the police did an investigation and received a search warrant against Yahoo.
The investigation led the police to a server overseas where the trail went cold.
This whole thing is silly and is a waste of taxpayer money. But does rise to the level of Petrolia resigning from office?
Our sources say Petrolia’s resignation if and when it comes is because of the embarrassing contents of the body cam footage.
